In India market. Geka Brand is manufactured by Gedik Welding of Turkey.

Gedik Welding, founded in 1963, was the second Welding company to be established in Turkey. The company’s founder Mr. Halil Gedik, was himself one of the first Welding engineers in the country. Since its establishment, the company has been involved in, some boggest infrastructure projects, including the building of Bosphorus Bridge, the Istanbul underground system and several Petroleum Pipelines including Iran IGAT projects. It is now one of the Turkey’s leading manufacturers of Welding consumables and Welding equipments and also is the biggest exporter in this sector, reaching 66 countries.

Gedik Welding’s products have achieved ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Standards and various quality Approvals of DNV, CE, BUREAU VERITAS, DB, TUV, TURK LOYDU, TSE, LLOYD’S REGISTER, ABS. The company produces with its own brand of GEKA in different type of Flux Cored Welding electrodes, Gas Shielded Arc Welding Wires, defferent type of TIG rods, submerged arc Welding wires and fluxes as well as repair and maintenance products under the brand name of GEKATEK. Since Gedik has an approach of serving the needs of Welding sector, the company supplies its own production Welding machines under GEDIK WELDING brand.

In 1972, the company started exporting with its first big deal coming from the Middle East. Brand name of GEKA came along in 1984 when it began making covered electrodes in partnership with Bohler electrodes. Following these years, Welding Machines and Rectifiers were added to the product portfolio and the company was also able to obtain a DNV certificate. In 1998, Gedik Welding became a member of European Welding Association (EWA) and gained DP approval and the U sign for its products. This set it on course for the big export boom that began in 2000.
